Virginia man Jose Hernandez Mancia charged in death of Milligan University runner Eli Cramer

Virginia police arrested a person suspected of driving into three members of the Milligan College monitor and subject group, killing one on Thursday night time. 

Jose Hernandez Mancia, 26, allegedly struck and killed Milligan College sophomore Eli Cramer because the group practiced for an upcoming meet. He fled from the crash website in a crimson Toyota Scion, according to WDBJ.

Milligan College was set to take part in a multi-team meet at William & Mary College this weekend.

“Our deepest sympathies are with the complete Milligan College group and all affected by the tragic accident involving members of their Monitor & Area group on Thursday afternoon,” William & Mary College said in a statement.

Authorities mentioned the investigation into the deadly hit-and-run is ongoing.
