Raleigh cops fatally shoot man who threw Molotov cocktails at precinct

Cops in Raleigh, North Carolina, shot and killed a person who was throwing Molotov cocktails outdoors the police station Saturday, authorities mentioned.
The incident began round 1:20 p.m. when the unidentified suspect started lighting vehicles on hearth within the police car parking zone with the incendiary weapons, officers said at a press conference.
“Instructions got to this particular person to cease his actions,” Raleigh Police Chief Estella Patterson mentioned.
“The person continued to throw a number of Molotov cocktails within the car parking zone and ultimately in the direction of our officers who had been there.”

4 cops then opened hearth on the person, capturing him “a number of occasions,” in line with Patterson.
Officers moved the suspect away from two burning vehicles and tried to resuscitate him to no avail, police mentioned.
Footage from the officer’s bodycams could be launched pending a courtroom order, the chief mentioned.

The FBI was investigating the incident together with inner affairs, in line with police.
