Jersey Shore sand collapse kills teen, traps sister

An 18-year-old from Maine was killed and his teenage sister was trapped when sand collapsed on them on the Jersey Shore on Tuesday afternoon, police mentioned.
The tragedy struck as Levy Caverley was digging a gap together with his 17-year-old sister at Toms River’s Ocean Seashore 3, a personal seashore close to Chadwick Seashore, Toms River police mentioned.
The outlet, which officers mentioned was deeply dug with Frisbees, collapsed on the pair simply after 4 p.m., according to the Asbury Park Press.
Caverley was crushed to dying and it took first responders greater than two-and-a-half hours to drag him out of the sand, the report mentioned.
His sister was rescued and acquired medical consideration on the scene, police mentioned.
