Funeral held for victim Roberta Drury in Buffalo supermarket shooting

The youngest sufferer within the bloodbath at Buffalo’s Tops Pleasant Market was remembered Saturday for her “love and compassion.”

Mourners gathered on the Assumption Church in Syracuse to say goodbye to Roberta Drury, 32, who was slaughtered final week together with 9 others in what authorities stated was a racially-motivated assault allegedly carried out by Payton Gendron, 18, of Conklin, NY.

Drury was raised within the Syracuse space and moved to Buffalo 10 years in the past take care of her brother who was recovering from leukemia.

After the service, Drury’s sister, Amanda Drury, stated “Robbie was greater than only a title.”

“We simply wish to ensure that everybody remembers her smile, her love, her compassion,” she stated. “If everybody might deal with everybody with slightly extra love and compassion, we wouldn’t have situations like this.”

The funeral was the second for a sufferer of the Buffalo taking pictures. Heyward Patterson, 67,  was laid to relaxation Friday.
