73-year-old punched in face on subway in lower Manhattan

An aged man was slugged within the face whereas driving an A practice in Manhattan on Sunday — the newest violent assault on town’s subway system.

The 73-year-old man was driving a northbound A practice when he was punched within the face by a young person at round 4 p.m., in line with police.

The teenager hit the older man after the 2 obtained into an argument because the practice neared Chambers Avenue. EMS rushed the sufferer to Bellevue Hospital.

The suspect hopped off the practice and fled the scene. No arrested have been instantly made on Sunday.

The assault follows a latest string of violent — and typically — lethal subway assaults.
