Michael Jordan ‘Last Dance’ jersey from 1998 NBA Finals sells for record breaking $10.1 million

Sotheby’s, the outstanding New York Public sale home, bought the eight-figure jersey the corridor of fame legend wore to make it the highest-priced merchandise in sports activities memorabilia historical past.  

The record-setting quantity beats out soccer legend Diego Maradona’s “Hand of God” jersey from the 1986 World Cup that bought for $9.28 million on Could 4.

In July, Netflix debuted the “Final Dance” — a 10-part documentary that encapsulates Jordan’s historic ultimate season with the Chicago Bulls.

The jersey now beats out the final record-setting Jordan sports activities memorabilia merchandise, an autographed Higher Deck sport jersey patch card that bought for $2.7 million in 2021.

The identical card that bought for $2.7 million beforehand beat out a uncommon, signed 1997 Higher Deck Recreation Jordan card that went for practically $1.5 million at a Dallas-based public sale home.
