Ind vs. Aus: Waqar Younis predicts India vs Australia 2020-21 series, know what he said

The first match of the three-match series between India and Australia is to be played in Sydney on 27 November. The Indian cricket team is currently on an Australian tour, where the team has to play a series of three ODIs and T20 Internationals, followed by a four-Test Border-Gavaskar series. There is a fierce competition between India and Australia and this is the reason that it is noticed by the legendary cricketers from all over the world. Former Pakistan fast bowler and captain Waqar Younis believes that after the return of Team India’s fast bowlers and David Warner-Steve Smith, there will be a close fight between the two teams.

Waqar said that Australia will attack India hard because they will still be feeling the pain of defeat in the 2018 home Test series. Waqar told a YouTube channel, ‘Australia are playing at home and they have prepared a good fast bowling attack and with the return of David Warner and Steve Smith, they look very strong, but India also have some good fast bowlers. Who emerged very fast and bowled well on his last tour of Australia.

He said, “India’s batting is very impressive which includes players who have done well in Test formats like Pujara and Rahane, so I hope for a good match.” The former Pakistan captain, however, has no doubt that the absence of Virat Kohli after the first Test in Adelaide and the absence of Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma in at least the first two Tests would have affected India’s series winning hopes. Kohli will go on paternity leave after the first Test in Adelaide, while Rohit and Ishant are yet to recover from injuries and will be able to join the team for the four-match Test series only after the second Test. Waqar said, “Rohit is a top level player, while Ishant is very experienced and has taken a lot of wickets and if he does not come for the Test matches then India will miss him.”
