Supernatural’s Misha Collins Clarifies His ‘Coming Out’ Comments

Misha Collins clarified his feedback about “popping out” after main followers to consider that he was bisexual whereas talking at a Supernatural fan conference.

“I need to deeply apologize for misspeaking this weekend. At a fan conference in New Jersey, after I was speaking with the viewers I stated that I used to be … an introvert, an extrovert and a bisexual,” the Lady, Interrupted actor, 47, wrote via Twitter on Monday, April 25. “My clumsy intention was to wave off really discussing my sexuality, however I badly fumbled that and [I] perceive that was seen as me popping out as bisexual.”

He continued: “This was not my intention so I must appropriate the document: I’m not bisexual.”

In his Twitter thread, Collins apologized for the remarks, explaining that he didn’t need to “falsely co-opt the struggles of the LGBTQIA+ group.” He concluded by stating that he was “deeply sorry” for misrepresenting himself and for the “clumsiness” of his joke. “I need to be a greater ally and I really feel sick to my abdomen that I might need performed something to make issues worse,” Collins wrote.

A video of Collins talking on the conference on Saturday, April 23, went viral after he appeared to verify that he was a member of the LGBTQ+ group.
