A 5-year-old woman was kidnapped and held captive for days by a person she referred to as “the monster,” who can be a suspect within the homicide of her father, an area report stated.
The woman was rescued by cops a number of weeks in the past when a neighbor heard her scream for assist.
“The monster is coming to get me,” Maggie Millsap yelled to the neighbor from the window of a Detroit duplex on June 30, based on the neighbor’s account given to Fox 2 Detroit on Tuesday.
“She goes, ‘Assist me. Assist me please,’ ” neighbor Raynell Jones instructed the station. “When the man walks again up, she says, ‘The monster is again,’ after which she closes the curtain.”
The woman’s slain father was discovered on the constructing when police got here to rescue the little woman, the report stated.
“I don’t need to consider what might’ve occurred. I don’t need to go there. They saved this woman’s life,” Detroit Detective James Kraszewski, instructed WKYZ, referring to Maggie’s neighbors.
“As quickly as she noticed us, she jumped up, she jumped in [the officer’s] arms and stated, ‘I need to be the police after I develop up,’ ” Kraszewski reportedly added.
Dangelo Money Clemons, 30, was charged with kidnapping and baby enticement and being held on a $250,000 bond and a GPS tether, prosecutors stated.
“It’s alleged that Defendant Clemons kidnapped the kid from her dwelling and fled to the residence subsequent door,” Wayne County Prosecutors wrote in a press launch on July 3.
Clemons, who lived within the duplex unit subsequent door to the kid, can be being investigated for the homicide of Maggie’s father, Cody Millsap, based on WDIV Native 4.
“I beloved them, that little woman and her dad,” Maggie’s godmother, Karla Reaves reportedly instructed WDIV.
“He made certain she did 5 math issues and browse a ebook earlier than we took her to the park. I really like them a lot,” she stated.
The 5-year-old woman is now reportedly in foster care.
“I’ve by no means ever come throughout a case like this ever,” Kraszewski instructed the Fox 2. “This may go together with me till the top.”
Detroit Police didn’t reply to The Publish’s request for touch upon the case Wednesday night.
