Bills cruise past Rams to open NFL season with statement win

The Payments opened the NFL season with an announcement to the defending champs.

Josh Allen threw for 297 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions and added a team-leading 56 yards and a landing on the bottom to assist Buffalo cruise to a 31-10 win over the Rams Thursday evening at SoFi stadium.

“We knew that if we got here out and tried to execute the best way we all know we will execute we had been gonna transfer the ball and rating once more,” Josh Allen mentioned on NBC’s broadcast after the sport. “Our protection performed a hell of a sport.”

After overcoming a sloppy, turnover-filled first half, the Payments pulled away within the second half, scoring 21 unanswered factors.

The 2 sides traded 5 turnovers within the first half — three for the Payments and two for the Rams — earlier than going into the half tied 10-10. The Payments added a fourth turnover later regardless of the lopsided loss.

“First off, that first half, being careless with the soccer a little bit bit, placing out protection in dangerous conditions,” Allen mentioned. “They bowed up for us, they gave us an opportunity.”
